I have been neglecting this blog and hope to be able to get back in the swing of things soon. Editing and my new found addiction(Farm Town) has kept me busy not to mention my daughter and day to day stuff. Thanks so much for all the comments and emails, I really appreciate them. If anyone has a suggestion of a great website, tutorial or any kind of relevant and helpful information regarding Photoshop and post processing please send me a mail and I will gladly post it to my blog. I would also like to start recommending and highlighting Photographers of the month or something of the sort that I admire. I have LOTS of them.

{Gary Fong Lightsphere}

Just rambling tonight about the Gary Fong Lightsphere. I've wanted to get one for some time and finally ordered the cloudy and clear a few days ago. They're on back order but I'm hoping to get them sometime before our vacation. Maybe it will help with the shadowy eyes that bouncing my flash produces. I'm ready to see what they can do. If anyone has one and would like to leave me a comment about theirs and if they like it or not you can. I would love to know. I just hope I can work the thing.

Also, if you're wanting to buy camera equipment or anything photography related B&H Photo is a great place to start.

I'm rambling today about a website that I visited a few years back; Today's Christian. I got to looking on it again today and found a great addition within that site. It's called Today's Christian Woman. There's a lot of information and good write ups and such on it. It's focused, of course, on us. If you're a Christian woman or girl you should check it out.

{Custom Photography}

I'm rambling tonight about "Custom Photography". Yes, you know the thing that you get all dressed up for, hussle the kids to a serene location that you or the photographer has chosen, walk around and entertain the kids and get a little silly or let the photographer get a little silly so that she can catch those perfect moments of interaction with you and your family, go home and wait a few days or a week, view your pictures, pick the ones you want, order and have them shortly thereafter for you to hang up and display in your homes. Then have some people fall out when they ask you what you paid for them! Most people don't know what all goes into Custom Photography. It's not just meet up, snap pictures, upload them to the computer and print. Oh no!! It's way more than that and this link will explain it better than I can. You will be surprised.

{Happy Earth Day}

I'm rambling now about Earth Day. Have you thought about the things you can do, little things, that can make a huge difference? It's really pretty simple and some of you may be doing some of them already and not even know it. For one, we stopped using hot water a long time ago when we washed clothes. Not because we thought it was helping the Earth but because it meant we didn't have to get the hot water heater heated up and therefore our electricity bill wouldn't be so high. Guess what? Using cold water to wash is one of the tips this website suggests. Along with so many others.

Shorter showers
Drink tap water instead of buying bottled water
Shut your computer down at night(Read this article by the U.S. News)
Buy energy efficient bulbs(CFLs) one problem is they contain toxic mercury if broken
Eat less meat

There's many interesting suggestions out there that can help us clean the Earth or at least halt some of the damage we cause daily. Check out this article by Good Housekeeping and if you want to read up more on the CFLs you can read this. Not saying you have to purchase the GE brand but that's the kind we got and the FAQ is detailed.

I guess it would be appropriate to make my first blog entry about the maker of my blog or should I say designer of the template. I've been trying to find a blog template that suited me and after searching hundreds of templates(maybe), I came across Leelou blogs. I looked over a few and then saw this one. Yay.
